The package included 19 basic kitchen items, including wheat flour, gram flour, rice, cooking oil, pulses, white gram, dates, sugar, ghee, and tea. Additionally, the package also included tetra pack milk, tea, and ghee, which helped families to buy the basic items needed to make nutritious meals.

The Prime Minister has approved the expansion of Utility Stores in Karachi. He says less than five utility stores is unacceptable. Also, the government is working on a digital system for subsidy distribution. And the new scheme provides targeted subsidies on five essential food items at Utility Stores across the country. He chaired a high-level meeting on the program, and it was approved to expand the program in Karachi.

Number of Langars to be opened in each district

Until now, only a few Langars have been opened in each district of Pakistan. But, now the government has decided to open them at tehsil level as well, as of 1st September 2022.
